I have previously seen this footage in the context of a French documentary “100 Years of Beatitude,” which was made on the occasion of Krishnamacharya’s centennial celebrations in 1988. While watching this, keep in mind that in 1938 he is 50 years old – exactly only halfway through his remarkable teaching career. On June 21st of that year, my teacher, T.K.V. Desikachar was born.
